This collection is a culmination of years of work, imagination, and personal evolution. Greek mythology has always played a meaningful role in my life, shaping the way I view femininity, strength, and identity. With this collection, I wanted not only to pay tribute to the goddesses who have consistently inspired me, but also to weave my own story into theirs, essentially reflecting who I am both as an artist and as a person. My love for Greek Mythology is one of the prime influences of these pieces but, what truly pushed me to bring this collection fully to life are my best friends. They have truly shaped me into who I am, and I wanted to combine some of the two greatest things in my life that have helped make me who I am. I sketched my first design for it my freshman year, and never in my mind did I think I would truly be able to create these pieces and put them out for people to be able to see. At the time, I envisioned techniques I hoped to learn and ways I wanted to expand my portfolio in a whimsical, almost magical direction. Over the last few years, I continued to design and research around 30 designs centering around various Greek Gods and Goddesses. The designs that I have created for this collection are designs that reflect some of the most important people in my life, my best friends, and my models.
